Braxxaz (Daniel Montero) formerly known as Polishpattern, is a Costa Rican artist who takes inspiration from the world around him and turns it into an ever-changing virtual piece of art. He explores new ways to recreate his vision of the world, using tools such as Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop to create an entire new universe and dimension. His artwork is a combination of psychedelic, sci-fi, and surrealistic elements that challenge the viewer’s perspective of reality.
For Braxxaz, nothing is static; change is a part of us all as we grow and look for new dimensions in our existence. He explores his point of view and belief system, which is always going in the direction his creator desires. By using his creativity and imagination, Braxxaz takes his viewers on a journey through his unique and ever-changing world.
One of his most notable collaborations was with MishCatt, where he created visuals for her music videos “MishCatt – Another Dimension (Miike Snow Remix)” and “Mishcatt – Another Dimension Lyric Video“. Braxxaz also designed the single cover for “Another Dimension (Miike Snow Remix)“. His ability to bring his surrealistic vision to life through his artwork perfectly complemented MishCatt’s music.
During the beginning of the pandemic in April 2020, Braxxaz was commissioned by Apple Inc. for the “Tootsee Roll” project. He took photographs of Costa Rica and used them to create surrealistic images using only an iPhone to capture his creative perspective of how he views the world inside his head. His work was selected as one of the award-winning artworks for the Shot on iPhone project. Unfortunately, due to technical reasons, the artwork could not go to the printing stage, but you can still view the breathtaking pieces here.
